The Whitsundays

The Whitsunday Islands are located on the Queensland Coast, about 1100 Km North of Brisbane. The Whitsundays are renowned for clear turquoise water, coral reefs and pristine beaches.

The Whitsunday Islands are made of 74 islands, and while the majority of the islands are national parks and untouched, there are four famous resort islands including Hamilton Island, Hayman Island, Daydream Island and Long Island. The Whitsundays are best experienced on water by boat, allowing explorers to discover the islands and enjoy up close. Travelling by boat, it’s not unusual to spot beautiful marine life including turtles, whales and vibrant tropical fish.

The tropical Whitsundays region is great for holidays and is a popular tourist destination for both international and domestic travellers, with a range of experiences available to suit all tastes and fantastic weather all year round. No wonder Whitsundays is one of the most famous and popular destinations in the world!

Airlie Beach is the main access point to the Whitsunday Islands on the mainland.
